A Foundation Built on
Faith, Dignity & Service

La Paix Foundation — meaning "The Peace Foundation" — is a Christian humanitarian nonprofit organization serving underprivileged communities in Northern Haiti, particularly around Cap-Haïtien. Our work is rooted in the belief that every person carries inherent dignity and that faith without action is incomplete.

From our community campus, we operate a theological training institute, a community school serving 120 children, and a community center that brings people together for outreach, youth activities, and neighborhood support. We work at the intersection of education, faith, and humanitarian service to bring lasting, generational change.

Biblical Education Rooted in Scripture, lived in community

Our Values

Faith. Dignity. Education. Transparency. Compassion. We believe that sustainable transformation begins with investing in people — especially the most vulnerable.

Our Approach

Mission work in Haiti — a missionary's encounter that changed everything

"He saw children starving in the streets — and he could not walk away."

This school exists because a man refused to look away.

In 2020, missionary Babak Imaresh traveled to Haiti on a mission trip supporting the House of Hope orphanage and a mobile clinic outreach. What he encountered on those streets changed him forever.

Amid Cap-Haïtien's heat and poverty, Babak witnessed something he could not shake: children — hungry, barefoot, unable to attend school — wandering the streets with no place to go and no one to care for their education. Children who deserved books and teachers and warm meals, but had none.

The moment pierced him deeply. He did not simply feel bad and move on. Instead, Babak made a concrete, personal commitment: if the foundation would create a school for those children, he would personally cover the teachers' salaries.

That promise sparked the founding of École Communautaire de la Grâce. Today, over 120 children who might otherwise be roaming those same streets are instead sitting in classrooms, receiving meals, and building a future — because Babak said yes, and because he has kept that promise faithfully ever since.
